Air Batang Chalet
Set
on a hill of giant rocks and tropical plants, all chalets have verandahs
with open views out to sea. Built of varnished wood in a traditional,
airy Malaysian style, the chalets have windows that open from the roof
to the floor and ceiling fans.
Bamboo Hill Resort has
an excellent lending library and book exchange. The english owner Sue
travelled to a lot of countries and makes all her guidebooks here
available. They also have a water purifier so bottles of purified Tioman
spring water are free for all guests.
Semi-Detached Cottages
The
accommodation comprises 4 semi-detached rooms, sleeping 2-3 with a double bed
and a low single bed stowed below. One chalet is suitable for 2-4
persons with fridge, a double bed and a double futon sofa bed for kids.
Alternatively, one chalet (sleeping 2-5) bedroom with double bed
and low single bed stowed underneath. A living room with a double futon
sofa bed suited to children.
NOTE: Air Batang is also known as Ayer Batang, as well as simply ABC.
Kitchenettes have a sink, a fridge, a toaster, cutlery and crockery, but they're not really meant for major cooking, given the numerous decent eateries nearby.
