Spending a holiday in Malaysia is a must for any traveler looking forward to a mix of cultural wealth and natural beauty. The country is well-connected by various modes of transportation, making it easy to get around and explore different parts of Malaysia, though Peninsular Malaysia is more connected than East Malaysia. Other than that distinction, whether it's by bus, coach, train, taxi, ferry or plane, getting from one place to another is pretty much a breeze.

That being said, one of the most important things to keep in mind when traveling to and within Malaysia is to book your tickets and accommodation in advance, ideally online. This will not only save you oodles of time queuing, but also ensures that you have a hassle-free holiday.

During the busy tourist season, which in this part of the world runs from March to October, Malaysia can get quite crowded. In other words, best book early to avoid disappointment. Besides which, walk-ins also tend to be charged more than online bookings.

Incidentally, traveling in Malaysia during the wet season, which is during the remaining months, December to February-ish, can also be a great experience, as the country tends to be generally less busy. However, it's crucial to be aware that this is the monsoon season, which can bring rainy spells, along with high winds and seas.

Now, when vacationing in Malaysia, it's also a good idea to bring a snack to keep yourself from getting peckish or worse, nodding off. This is particularly easy when journeying from A to B, because distances can be considerable. But you'll likely miss the awesome vistas just outside your window.

A great snack that I always bring along to my your energy up is Eureka Snacks, a local product that's been going viral in Southeast Asia especially for a number of reasons.

For starters, this gourmet popcorn snack is made with wholesome ingredients, is free of transfats, GMOs, and preservatives, and comes in easy-to-pack containers. Best of all, with over 20 flavors to choose from, there's something to suit every taste, including my own two favorites: BBQ and Hot & Spicy.

To order Eureka Snacks, simply head to the website, www.eurekasnacks.com. Alternatively, for those who prefer to purchase in person, visit www.eurekasnacks.com/my/available.html and www.eurekasnacks.com/my/snackbars.html to find a (popup) store near you.

Have an awesome holiday!
